I currently work as a System Software Engineer. I earned a Masters degree in Robotics as well as Bachelors degrees in Computer Science and in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. My interests include robotics, embedded systems, aerospace, machine learning, artificial intelligence, distributed systems, and data analysis.
Collecting laptop battery data using Windows APIs and graphing with Python
A functional pinball machine featuring flippers, ball launcher, scoreboard, targets, moving wall, ramp, and other obstacles. Four mBed microcontrollers are the brains and a computer PSU and LiPo batteries provide power. Built from scratch including wooden frame and laser-cut acrylic components. Complete with lights and music from popular videogames.
A multithreaded, distributed network of webpage crawlers. Built using FreePastry, an open source framework for creating distributed networks, BerkeleyDB for page storage, and Amazon EC2 instances. Integrated into a larger search engine project.
A project exploring the use of an aircraft to autonomously, accurately, and safely deliver a payload to a specified location. Incorporates embedded hardware and software design, dynamics simulation, control theory and flight testing.
Worked in a team of three to create a team of autonomous hockey-playing robots. Designed, laser-cut, and assembled by hand. Controlled via an Atmega32U4-based microcontroller and incorporates IR phototransistors, Wiimote IR cameras, wireless modules, motors, and other components. Placed in top 8 out of 25 teams in class tournament.
